Season: Various camps in the summer—June 8-Aug. 23; also Dec. 26-Jan. 2. Type: One-week overnight sessions. Ages: All ages plus special adult session. Surf spots: Santa Cruz. Cost: $690. Miscellaneous: Includes equipment, food, T-shirt, video and photos. Space is limited to 14 campers per session. Private lessons also available. Type: Seven-day training for beginner through advanced surfers. Two all-adult camps, and five mixed age camps. Ages: 10-70. Surf spots: Santa Cruz south to Big Sur. Cost: $700, includes food, transportation, instruction and equipment. Private lessons are $60 per hour. Group lessons are $70 per person for two hours. Wetsuits and boards provided. Miscellaneous: The camp teaches surfing fundamentals with video coaching, proper diet and fitness training, first aid and ocean awareness. Many extra curricular activities are available during the week.
